Building an inclusive community of healthcare leaders
ACHE of Central Florida follows the American College of Healthcare Executives in encouraging inclusivity within the healthcare leadership field. Equal opportunity is a professional obligation, and inclusive environments support reduced disparities in care and better quality for everyone across our nine-county service area of Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties.
The chapter carries that commitment through the work its board and standing committees already perform.
Pathways into leadership. The Higher Education Network and our student associate programming introduce healthcare leadership careers to students across the region. Local Program Councils in Volusia, Lake and the East County service area extend education and networking beyond the Orlando core so participation does not depend on where a member works.
Advancement. The chapter supports members pursuing the FACHE credential through exam preparation resources and the mentorship program, and publicizes advancement opportunities so every member can see the path and the criteria.
Governance. Board and committee openings are announced to the full membership, self-nomination is available to any member in good standing, and the Nominating Committee slates from a broad candidate pool.
Programming. Chapter education draws on a wide range of leadership experience and perspective, and every member is welcome at every event.
Developing the leaders who come next is shared work, and the chapter is where that work happens locally.
